Fear no more of the ides of October

It would love you sober

The plans on life is week

Another reason to sneak

And the travel destination is yet to be found

Forty is the new beginning

Let’s go back in time;

When the year was 2010 and we had all the time.

I was young, in love and didn’t mind.

Met her by chance, she was sublime.

She said, ‘it’s high time’,

Let’s get the tribe together just in time.

I said, ‘sure, over time’.

Inch by inch, one by one it started to climb.

We have been friends a longtime.

Shared stories of joys and difficult times,

The pines and forest and mountain time.

We stayed on course with shifting paradigm.

The last of me would be the best of me

I say, "baby you my life".

She calls and says, "you do not miss me".
I say, "baby, don't start a fight".
"You want me to go away" and she breaks down.
I feel sad and whisper, holding her picture tight,
"Baby, you my life.  Baby, you my life".

"I would leave this world, just to be with you always.
I promise sugar, I would run to you when you call my name.
Please don't say, I want you to go away.
Baby baby... you my life, you my life".

She soften and say, "I miss you so".
Her voice crackles, she says,"I would die".
"Life playing tricks on us, we should be brave".
I take a deep breath and tell her it would be all right,
"No one can take it from us.

Smile come through, she cheers up.
"Fly me away, never to come back to this place".
"I would one day, be my strength.
You my life... baby, I miss you".
